Treating opiate addiction and mental health together
At Tranquility Woods, we understand that opiate addiction and mental health disorders often go hand-in-hand, each amplifying the challenges of the other. Treating them together is essential to achieving lasting recovery. Our program begins with a medically supervised detox using buprenorphine to ease withdrawal symptoms and stabilize clients, preparing them for deeper mental health work.
Following detox, clients engage in a balanced mix of individual and group therapies designed to address both addiction and underlying mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. This includes three weekly individual addiction therapy sessions and one to two mental health sessions, where clients can explore personal challenges, learn coping strategies, and build emotional resilience.
To enhance this therapeutic work, we integrate holistic practices like yoga, meditation, acupuncture, art therapy, and private massage, which support mental well-being and physical relaxation. Family involvement is also encouraged through family therapy and regular visitation, building a strong support system that reinforces recovery. This comprehensive, integrated approach ensures that clients are supported at every level—mentally, physically, and emotionally—helping them build a healthy, substance-free life
