Carlton Agudio
Carlton Agudio, a native of Long Island, New York, was an outstanding high school athlete who strongly opposed the use of intoxicants. After attending a four-year college, Carlton’s journey took an unexpected turn as addiction quietly took hold, disrupting his original goal of becoming a psychologist—a dream inspired by his giving and compassionate mother, who dedicated herself to helping others. Despite this interruption, Carlton has devoted his life to assisting people, regardless of their challenges, illnesses, or struggles. As a motivational interviewer, he actively fights against stigma, oppression, and the labeling of individuals in addiction recovery, firmly believing that change is always possible for those who seek it. Carlton proudly identifies himself as a helper, committed to making a difference.
