Individual Therapy in Residential Treatment

This article will provide an overview of how we offer individual therapy at Tranquility Woods.

Individual Addiction Overview

Tranquility Woods is a residential addiction treatment program offering weekly three to four individual therapy sessions.  Typically, these sessions are three addiction and one or two sessions with a licensed mental health therapist.

Individual Addiction Therapy

Individual addiction therapy is an essential aspect of a comprehensive addiction treatment program. It offers personalized attention, explores underlying causes, and helps individuals develop the skills for lasting recovery. Therapists can guide individuals toward a healthier life by relying on evidence-based practices and forming a trusting relationship with the client.

Individual Mental Health Therapy

Many individuals with addiction also suffer from mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. These are known as co-occurring disorders or dual diagnoses.  We aim to help treat the underlying causes that fuel alcohol and drug dependencies.  We find that when managing these underlying symptoms as part of a master treatment plan, lasting recovery can take place.

Our Master Treatment Plan (MTP) at Tranquility Woods is a comprehensive, individualized plan that guides treating a person struggling with addiction.
