What is IOP?
IOP Program
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are structured treatment programs designed for individuals who need support but do not require round-the-clock supervision, like in a residential program. IOPs allow participants to live at home while receiving intensive therapy several times a week. They are often used for mental health treatment, addiction recovery, or dual diagnosis (when a mental health issue coexists with substance abuse). An IOP provides therapies such as individual counseling, group therapy, and sometimes family therapy, focusing on helping individuals develop coping skills, address underlying issues, and create a support system for ongoing recovery.
