Gershom Paul Hestick
Paul Hestick, M.Ed., CAC-AD, is a dedicated and resourceful counseling professional with extensive experience supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use and mental health challenges. With expertise in individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and addiction-related interventions, Paul is committed to empowering clients with the tools they need for lasting recovery and well-being.
Paul holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Coppin State University, as well as dual Associate degrees in Psychology and General Studies from Baltimore City Community College. His advanced training is complemented by his Certified Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAC-AD) credential, underscoring his expertise in addressing complex addiction cases.
Over his career, Paul has worked in residential and outpatient settings, where he demonstrated his ability to provide client-centered care tailored to individual needs. His skills include conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans, and leading therapy sessions focused on addiction, mental health, and coping strategies.
Paul’s therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, solution-focused counseling, and a deep understanding of the DSM-V. With extensive experience in family therapy, group facilitation, and crisis intervention, he creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can achieve meaningful change.
